Stand: Stand Firm in the Fire

A faith that is tested is a faith that can be trusted. In the book of Daniel we see three young men who stand firm in the fire believing that God is able to deliver them from the furnace and will deliver them from the hands of the king. In the middle of the fire we learn that faith obeys God instead of following man. Faith obeys God in spite of what we see and faithful obedience is our responsibility, the outcome is God's responsibility.

Stand: Stand Firm in the Faith

Daniel fasted for 21 days and had a vision that terrified him. In his weakness, he found strength in God, as he remained standing in the faith. When we pray and we do not see God do anything, we need to remember that God cares more about us than we do. God does more than we can ever understand, and God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Stand: Stand Strong

All through Daniel's life, we see him standing out, standing up and standing strong with a super natural strength that came from a long-term developed faith relationship with the living God. When facing opposition we are going to learn how to stand strong, do what is right and trust God with the results.

Stand: Stand Up

As followers of Christ there will come a moment in our lives when someone we love is going down the wrong path and God may prompt us to stand up for what is right, in the right way, in the right time and for the right reason. We need wisdom from God to be cautious and to help us confront them with the goal of restoring them in their relationship with God.

Stand: Stand Out

If you are never standing out and always blending in, then you are not following Jesus. Because when you follow Jesus, you will be different and you will be set apart. As we look at the life of Daniel we learn how to stand out for the right things, in the right ways and for the right reasons.
