At Forest Park we believe that outreach and evangelism are Gospel-driven commandments we are called to accomplish both locally and globally. We are continually taking steps to ensure that we remain Intentional in both of these areas. The following are different ways we are working to meet these needs in our community.
Our Block Parties are free public events held at different locations during the school year in Charles County. Block Parties include fun elements like snow cones, music, and even a bounce house. At each Block Party, we are given the chance to pray with and for those in attendance, as well as share Christ as He leads us. Our prayer is that these Intentional outreaches would result in natural opportunities to share Christ. Our next Block Party will be held:
Our Food Pantry meets on the 4th Saturday of every month, and is partnered with a free breakfast that runs during the food distribution. Our pantry operates with food from the Federal program TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program), as well as generous contributions from members of Forest Park. As God allows us to meet physical needs, He often opens doors to meet spiritual needs as well. Our next Food Pantry Distribution will be held:

Upgrade is an after school program in partnership with Brown Elementary school. The Up Grade program was designed to help the development of reading, comprehension skills and math in the lives of the students enrolled. Our hope is that in doing so that students will gain the confidence needed to accomplish day-to-day school-related tasks. One of the goals of the Up Grade after school program is to foster a safe and healthy learning environment for all of the students that are enrolled in the program.
